Who is responsible
Ericeira Tech Hub is the data controller for this website. We are based in Ericeira, Municipality of Mafra, Portugal. You can reach us at hello@ericeiratechhub.com.
When you use the contact form
We receive your name, your email address, your message and which of the three you are writing about. We use them for one purpose, which is to reply to you. The legal basis is your consent, given when you press send.
Submissions are stored by Netlify, the company that hosts this site, and are forwarded to our email. We keep them for as long as the conversation is useful and delete them on request.
When you sign up for updates
We store only your email address, and we use it only to send occasional updates about the Hub. The legal basis is your consent, given when you sign up.
The list is held by Netlify alongside the contact form. Ask us to remove you at any time and we will, without asking why.
When you read a page
We count page views with GoatCounter. It sets no cookies and does not build a profile of you. It records the page address, the referring page, your browser type, your screen size and the country your request came from.
To avoid counting one person twice, GoatCounter creates a temporary identifier from your IP address and browser. That identifier cannot be reversed and is discarded within eight hours. Your IP address itself is not stored.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in knowing which pages are read.
When you book a call
The booking link opens Cal.com, which is a separate service with its own privacy policy. Anything you type there is handled by Cal.com and passed to us as a calendar invitation.
Cookies and browser storage
This site sets no cookies at all. There is no advertising, no tracking pixel and no third party marketing script.
We do use browser storage for two small things. One remembers whether you chose English or Portuguese. The other remembers that you have already dismissed the notice at the bottom of the screen. Both stay on your device, are never sent to us, and disappear when you clear your browser data.
Who else sees your data
Three services process data on our behalf. Netlify hosts the site and stores form submissions. GoatCounter counts page views. Cal.com handles bookings. We do not sell data and we do not share it for advertising.
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation you can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also object to how we use it and withdraw consent at any time.
Write to hello@ericeiratechhub.com and we will answer within thirty days. If you are not satisfied you can complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the CNPD.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect, we will change this page and update the date at the top of it.
