Ericeira Tech Hub
Design render of the Hub. A curved timber building with planted terraces and the Ericeira Tech Hub sign, and a café terrace under an olive tree, above the sea.

The Hub

Where people work, eat, gather and stay well.

Everything that happens day to day. It starts now, in rooms around town, and moves into the building once it is earned.

Community and events

Active monthly

Community is the connective tissue.

A circle that only goes round is not a community. Here, every gathering leads somewhere. This is the path from a first dinner to building something together.

  1. Come to a gathering

A steward dinner, a tech meetup or a talk. There is no application. Ask for an invitation.

  2. Become a member

A desk, the rooms, the events and the programmes. In return you give a defined share of your skills.

  3. Give to a project

Your skills go to a project inside the Hub. This is where people stop being guests and start building together.

  4. Build here, or hold the mission

Start a company in the Incubator & Accelerator, or join the stewards who hold the mission between them.

The gatherings

Every month

Steward gatherings

Fifteen to twenty stewards around one table. Dinner first, then the questions that matter for the Hub.

Coming

Tech meetups

For the engineers, designers and founders who already live in Ericeira. Bring what you are working on.

Through the year

Talks and long dinners

Researchers, founders and practitioners, one evening at a time. Always with food, always open to the town.

Spring 2027

Groundswell

Three days and five hundred people on the Atlantic. Talks on ethical tech, AI and consciousness, a techathon, then sunrise surf, breathwork and a long table dinner.

Three circles around the Hub: Ericeira closest, then Portugal and Norway, then the international network.

Ericeira

The FiVth, a consciousness gathering in Santo Isidoro, with 500 people in person and 1,000 online.

Portugal and Norway

Startups in both home countries bring the first deal flow and the founding engineering roles. SIKT, the Norwegian network of young leaders founded by King Haakon, 1,300 strong.

International

RedBridge, a business club linking Lisbon and Silicon Valley. Voices of Emergence, a 300 member learning community co-hosted by our steward Rudy de Waele. Edge City, a society incubator running month long popup villages from California to Bhutan.

Render of the café terrace. People eat at wooden tables under an olive tree beside the timber building, with the sea and the town behind.

Café and restaurant

Food from the land around us.

Food that gives life back. A café that opens early and a restaurant that stays late. Cooked from what grows and lands nearby: fish from the Ericeira boats, vegetables from our own kitchen gardens, bread from the village.

Open to the town, not only to members. The best conversations often start with someone who was not on the guest list.

Render of the coworking floor. Long timber desks along a curved glass wall facing the Atlantic, with a lounge and a glass meeting room behind.

Coworking

A desk with the Atlantic in front of it.

Quiet zones for deep work, rooms for meetings and calls, and open tables for the parts of the work that need other people.

Wellness and health

Everything starts in the body.

Sauna and cold water, the ocean in the morning, yoga, breathwork and long walks along the cliffs. Not as perks, but as the first steps back to your own energy, and the conditions for clear thinking.

Before the building

Community first. The building last.

Going from no community to land and a building is a big jump to underwrite. So the pilot grows into the whole model, in miniature, first. Pop up coworking comes now, then a resident cohort, then one season where coworking, research, consciousness work and small checks run together. The first building breaks ground once members pay and demand is visible.

The land is held by its own company, so it is never sold.

Come to a gathering.

The best way to understand the Hub is to sit at the table. Tell us a little about yourself and we will invite you to the next one.
